Sites.  Visit the apartment building from Friends, catch a glimpse of the restaurant used in

Spiderman, go to location to the building where Grace from Will and Grace had her studio, see

the bar used in Coyote Ugly, stop at the diner used in Men in Black and Woody Allen’s

Manhattan, take a trip through time while visiting the sites of classic films and modern day

movies…and come ready to sing TV theme songs

A Day with the Brave -(NY Fire Museum and Police Museum)

August 22

Spend the day learning about New York’s Finest.  We start with a visit to the New York Fire

Museum.  The tour, conducted by members of the FDNY’s Education Unit and retired NYC

fire fighters.  The tour consists of an introduction to the Fire Museum, a guided visit to the

museum fire apparatus room, and an interactive fire safety and prevention presentation.  You

will then have free time at South Street Seaport to grab something for lunch and do some

shopping.  The afternoon will be spent at the New York Police Museum.   Here you will learn

about the role of the NYPD and how it has changed over time to meet New York’s ever-

changing community needs. From the early days of New Amsterdam’s eight man policing team

to today’s largest police force in the US, you will discover how changes in transportation,

communication and immigration has affected community service. The museum features three

floors of interactive exhibits

Ground Zero Museum Workshop and Ground Zero Site

Sept. 17

GROUND ZERO MUSEUM WORKSHOP, located in NYC's Meat-Packing District, is a must-see before visiting the former World Trade Center site. Labeled "Rare Photos" by the New York Times and "Incredible" by Fox News Channel, it is one of the highest rated

tours in NYC. (4.8 stars average out of 5 stars in customer reviews) The museum's daily 2-hour tours educate visitors about the incredible and often heart-wrenching images and stories that took place INSIDE Ground Zero during the 9-month "Recovery." Created by Gary Marlon Suson, the only Official Photographer at Ground Zero for the Uniformed Firefighters Association and an FDNY Honorary Battalion Chief, the museum also allows guests to pick up and hold WTC remnants for a more intimate experience. Tours include a special 12-minute film in surround sound only viewable at the museum, personal narration by a trained guide and the self-guided listening units that contain 100 stories behind the remnants and stunning images that are on display. View the "Frozen Clock" – Honor Guard images and the famous "Genesis 11: Tower of Babylon" Bible Page photo. You will also see actual tools that were used for digging and items worn by recovery workers. Books and posters are available for sale at the end of each tour. The museum was inspired by Mr. Suson's emotional, 2004 visit to the Anne Frank House in Holland, leading him to create a similar museum that would help people learn about what transpired in the months that followed the 9-11 attacks. Ground Zero Museum Workshop is the only museum of its kind in New York.  When in town, Mr. Suson will sit in and personally conduct tours.

Top of New York -(Tavern on the Green and Top of the Rock)

 November 19

Our day will begin with lunch at Tavern on the Green in New York. Tavern on The Green is an experience like no other.  After lunch, we will have free time in the city for shopping or time to catch an afternoon show.  Late this afternoon, we will all meet for a tour of Top

of the Rock.  The Top of the Rock offers breathtaking 360 degree panoramic view of NYC from the newly renovated, 3 tiered observation deck, located on the 67th, 69th & 70th floors of Rockefeller Plaza.  On the observation deck itself you will find the best skyline views Manhattan has to offer.  By day you can see Central Park to the North, and the Statue of Liberty to the south.  At night, be mesmerized by the lights of the city that never sleeps.
